Research evidence consistently show that nature has a beneficial impact on our mental health.

But just being in nature doesn’t change your mental state.  You benefit from nature when you focus on and notice nature.  As we focus, notice, and experience nature we begin to connect. Connectedness goes beyond simply having contact with nature.  Connection to nature means feeling a close relationship or emotional attachment to natural surroundings.  When we have high levels of nature connectedness, we can feel happier, more worthwhile. We feel hope, rejuvenation, life, and energy.
